Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Shaker landing site at shaker.sh (“the Site”) handles information about its visitors. This policy applies only to the Site. The Shaker mobile application has its own separate Privacy Policy, which is available within the app.
1. Who we are
Shaker (“we”, “us”) operates the Site to present the Shaker mobile application — a cocktail recipe app for iOS and Android.
2. What we collect on the Site
We deliberately keep the Site minimal. We do not run third-party analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or social media trackers on the Site. The Site contains no forms, no account registration, and no comment system.
The only data the Site stores on your device is one strictly necessary cookie:

This cookie is essential for the Site to function in your chosen language and does not require consent under the GDPR ePrivacy framework. No personal data is associated with it.
3. What we do NOT collect on the Site
- No analytics (no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Matomo)
- No advertising or remarketing identifiers
- No social media pixels
- No contact forms, no newsletter sign-ups
- No IP-based tracking beyond what standard web server logs require for security and abuse prevention
4. Server logs
Our hosting provider may retain standard access logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for a short period for security and operational purposes. These logs are not used for profiling and are not shared with third parties except as required by law.
5. Mobile application
The Shaker mobile application is a separate product. It includes a crash reporting tool (Firebase Crashlytics) to detect software defects, and may use Firebase Authentication if you choose to sign in for cross-device sync. Details are described in the in-app Privacy Policy. The Site does not have access to mobile-app data.
6. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to:
- request access to any personal data we hold about you,
- request correction or deletion,
- object to processing,
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Because the Site does not collect personal data, in most cases there is nothing to retrieve or delete. You can still contact us with any question at the email below.
7. Age restriction
Shaker provides information about alcoholic beverages. The Site and the Shaker app are intended for adults of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction (21+ in the United States, 18+ in the European Union, United Kingdom, and most other jurisdictions). Do not use Shaker if you are below the legal drinking age in your country.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top of the page will be updated accordingly. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
